Kurtina ni Lola
I spent my whole life watching my grandmother through a window, a little peek between the jalousies through the curtains swaying. In the city, she was always outside in the breeze, back always facing me while looking up the sky singing kundimans or just silent when she's deep in thought. I never knew what was on her mind but she was a very nostalgic person, always telling us the same stories of times that passed. I never though I would continue to look for those stories until now. But now I look outside the windows and don't see her, just curtains swaying in the wind and yet somehow, I still hear the stories, as if the curtains kept them all these years.
